Chronic diseases such as heart disease, cancer and diabetes are the leading causes of death and disability in the United States. Learn how to self-manage these diseases and promote healthy lifestyles during a program by the Chesterfield Council on Aging Thursday, Aug. 27, 9-10 a.m., at the Lucy Corr Village Multipurpose Room, 6800 Lucy Corr Blvd. The program also will cover how to help others living with chronic disease become better managers of their illnesses and lead more productive lives.
