Flying Squirrels unveil fireworks schedule

The Richmond Flying Squirrels, Double-A affiliate of the San Francisco Giants, will feature 13 fireworks extravaganzas, including the Flying Squirrels home opener at the Diamond on April 15, and an Independence Day Celebration on July 4.

Beginning with their game on Thursday, June 3, the Flying Squirrels will feature fireworks following every Thursday home game of the season.

Fireworks nights include the inaugural Flying Squirrels game at The Diamond on Thursday, April 15; a Memorial Day Fireworks Spectacular on Monday, May 31; an expansive Independence Day Celebration, featuring fireworks displays on both Saturday, July 3 and Sunday, July 4; Fan Appreciation Day on Sunday, Sept. 5; and the Richmond Times-Dispatch Fireworks Spectacular on Tuesday, June 8.
