The Richmond Flying Squirrels, Double-A affiliate of the San Francisco Giants, have announced Squirreloween – Nutzy’s Halloween Party presented by Clear Channel – Richmond will be held at The Diamond on Sunday, Oct. 30, from 3 – 7 p.m. The inaugural event featuring trick-or-treating and a costume contest is free and open to the public.
“Every offseason it’s our goal to keep people coming to the ballpark, “ said Flying Squirrels Vice President and COO Todd “Parney” Parnell. “Squirreloween is going to be a family-friendly event and one that will give families the opportunity to go trick-or-treating in a safe environment while also having some entertainment on the side. We want it to be as much fun for adults as kids. Plus, it gives us a reason to dress up in costumes and have a petting zoo.”
Fans will have the opportunity to go trick-or-treating through each one of 15 suites at The Diamond. Each suite will be themed will special activities including a slime-making station, Parker the Rally Pig meet and greet, and photos with local mascots. Fans can also trick-or-treat at station vehicles from Sports Radio 910, Q94, 1140 AM WRVA, and 106.5 The Beat.
All fans that come dressed in costumes will have the opportunity to participate in a costume contest with special prizes going to winners in different age ranges and categories. Additional activities will include games, face painting, hayrides, and a petting zoo.
Road Kill Roy will be performing live on the AAA Ultimate Fan Zone Main Stage and food and drinks will be available for purchase.
